The children at Ruchill Community Centre really wanted to do their own thing at this session – which turned out to be drawing views around them.
‘What can I draw?’ they asked – ‘Have a look around – what do you see?’ – so they started working on the interior of the centre and the drinks machine for instance!
Next they worked on their favourite manga images and fantastical creatures..
It is over a year now since we began this sketchbook project with North United Communities, it is really great to see them much more confident to draw, especially from their surroundings and imagination..
