Expression – learning Kanji from kawaii to kanashii
The theme for our February Kanji Club group on zoom was the more emotional and expressive kanji such as ai 愛 – affection – and kanashii 悲しい – sadness 🤗❤️
As well as learning to read and write some kanji and hiragana and katakana, we also looked at well known, commonly used kanji and related inspiring vocabulary such as kawaii 可愛い。
During the fun quiz with vocabulary and kanji, Blair also introduced new radicals and kanji. The new characters we looked at during the quiz this time were 女 onna woman, 如 nyo likeness/suchness, 恵 kei favour/blessing, 必ず kanara.zu inevitable/certain, and 化 ka change/take form/ enchant.
