We enjoyed a delicious theme this month of お茶とお菓子 Ocha to okashi – Japanese tea and sweets – tempting our taste buds and investigating green tea culture, such as Sadō the Way of Tea.
We will look at related kanji and commonly used vocabulary for sweet ingredients and names of teas. We also chatted about the funny and enlightening Japanese Netflix series on the same theme – Kantaro. In the fun kanji quiz there were some new characters related to the kusa grass radical 艸 such as kanji seedling 苗、なえ nae. Thanks to all the participants, and for sending their images of their kanji and hiragana/ katakana writing practice.
Many thanks to the participants for kindly sharing their images to add to this post 😊
