Joyfully doodling spacious aerial landscapes

This month at our relaxing De-stress group we enjoyed a theme of looking from afar, at the landscape from above with an eagle’s eye.

It was an easygoing and really supportive group, with everyone enjoying doodling fascinating textures, contours and patterns ⛰️🏜️ Some people just took the chance to create their own thing, with some tips and inspiration from poetry and from Blair and the other participants.

Here is Blair’s imaginative aerial view of Glasgow. See if you can guess the landmarks!?

Here is the enchanting poem by Han Shan that Blair read about the feeling of being up in the freedom of the clouds –

I climb the road to Cold Mountain,
The road to Cold Mountain that never ends.
The valleys are long and strewn with stones;
The stream broad and banked with thick grass.
Moss is slippery, though no rain has fallen;
Pines sigh, but it isn’t the wind.
Who can break from the snares of the world
And sit with me among the white clouds?
