Our Tenkoku Japanese and Chinese stamp making group explored composition and how to create movement and atmosphere. We had some images of sunshine, figures and spears too in the old tensho seal engraving characters ✨
We also enjoyed some carving, chipping away at our stones. Blair made an 印 In stamp for kana calligraphy, demonstrating how to go about the whole process of making the design and beginning the carving.
Thanks to participants for all their support for the group and sharing their images of their stone and eraser stamps this year 🙂
